The newest member of our team, Kirk Johnson, is Nashville Prevention Partnership’s Peer Recovery Coordinator. Kirk is a retired automobile executive. He has been in recovery from the disease of addiction since 2009. Through his active treatment with twelve step groups, Kirk is committed to helping others.
Before joining the NPP team, Kirk was the organization’s Volunteer of the Year Award winner for 2014. Kirk’s service work began at the Campus for Human Development, Room in the Inn, where he took 12 step meetings to residents of the program. He also devotes time each week to mentor a group of men through Fellowship Connection, which connects those going through recovery inside and outside of Metro Jail. He volunteers as a temporary sponsor for patients leaving Davidson County Drug Court 4 and various Treatment Centers and Secular Groups heavily involved with the 12 Step Program.
He is a graduate of Father Ryan High School and studied at the University of Memphis.
